BIOGRAPHY
Helena Morgane is an Afro-European multidisciplinary artist, performer, and filmmaker based in North America, committed to the craft and support of complex intersectional storytelling.
She is an alumni of The Barrow Group (Off-Broadway, NYC), the Maria Psomas Studio (Chubbuck), Black Women Film! Canada and the BANFF x Netflix Diversity Of Voices Initiative 2021.
A prolific creative and polyglot, she works globally, having collaborated with organizations such as Interscope, Top Dawg Entertainment, Black Square, Shopify, BIPOC TV & Film, NIA Centre for the Arts, Sisterhood Media and artists like Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Her work has screened at international festivals, and has been funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, Artscape and the Indigenous Screen Office.
Helena was a TEDx Speaker Coordinator, and as the Associate Programmer for TIFF Rising Stars 2020, she had the pleasure of hosting mentorship sessions with David Oyelowo, Tantoo Cardinal and the Casting Society of America.
In 2021, she had the honor to facilitate the “If You Ask Me” Program by Workman Arts, supporting emerging filmmakers with mental health and/or addiction experiences.
Helena’s development slate includes her Creativity & Wellness podcast and various premium Film and TV projects like her comedy-infused crime series “SQUAD” (MACRO Episodic Lab semi-finalist, powered by MACRO, The Blacklist, Lena Waithe and Eva Longoria ; Regent Park Film Fest x ACTRA Lab Winner).

Helena Morgane est une artiste pluridisciplinaire, actrice et cinéaste afro-européenne basée en Amérique du Nord, et dont l’un des piliers créatifs est le storytelling intersectionnel.
Elle est ancienne élève du Barrow Group (Off-Broadway, NYC), Maria Psomas Studio, Black Women Film! Canada et de l’initiative BANFF x Netflix Diversity Of Voices 2021 .
Prolifique et polyglotte, elle travaille à l’échelle mondiale sur de nombreux projets avec comme collaborateurs Interscope, Top Dawg Entertainment, Black Square, Shopify, BIPOC TV & Film, NIA Centre for the Arts, Sisterhood Media ainsi que des artistes tels que Kendrick Lamar et Drake. Son travail a été présenté au sein de festivals internationaux, et financé par le Conseil des Arts du Canada, Artscape et le Bureau de l’Ecran Autochtone.
Helena a été Coordinatrice TEDx, et en tant que Programmatrice Associée de TIFF Rising Stars 2020, elle a eu le plaisir d’animer et coordonner les sessions de mentorship avec David Oyelowo, Tantoo Cardinal et la Casting Society of America.
En 2021, elle est à la tête du programme “If You Ask Me” de Workman Arts soutenant des cinéastes émergents dont le parcours inclut des expériences avec la santé mentale et/ou les addictions.
Helena est en cours de développement de son podcast sur la créativité et le bien-etre, et de plusieurs projets de cinéma et télévision premium telle que sa série humoristique-crime “SQUAD” (demi-finaliste du MACRO Episodic Lab, de MACRO, The Blacklist, Lena Waithe et Eva Longoria ; Gagnante du Regent Park Film Fest x ACTRA Lab ).
